Pitchfork’s Top Albums List
I have to say, I’m a little surprised by P4k’s list. I was really expecting to hate their list, but I don’t. Obviously a few albums are ranked a little higher or lower than I think they should be, but that happens with every year end list. What do you guys think?

P4K loves them some Deerhunter. Maybe I’m not hip enough to get them, but they appear to be pretty overrated to me. I am also kind of suprised about Neon Bible’s placement. I figured it for a top 10 at least.

I’m glad they gave king khan and the shrines some love. maybe it’s just me, but i think the besnard lakes should be on every year end list.

I don’t understand how they could have left off Menomena. They gave it an 8.5 and I’m sure not half of their list have above an 8.0. So what gives? I wonder if someone in the band complained about the sound they were given at the P4Kfest. Seriously though, I think they just forgot about them as it was released so early in the year. After almost 6 months, I still do not like ‘Hissing Fauna…’…there I said it…and i didn’t enjoy them at P4K either, is there something wrong with me?
