Two girls a guy and a slew of fuzzy guitars, this does a decent job of describing the Austin based Faceless Werewolves. Looking for a little more? How about emphatic psych rock complete with punk lyrics with a bit of a garage twist.  Also,  all three members of the band lend their vocal stylings to the cause, which makes for a more diverse sound.

The band formed in Denton, Texas in 2001 while all three members were attending college. In 2005 they made the short trek down to Austin and that’s where they’ve been ever since. They released their first album, Medium Freaky, on Super Secret Records in 2006. Their latest effort, Pardon Me, Are Those Your Claws on My Back, will be released on March 11th.

I haven’t had a chance to check these guys out live, but hopefully that will change pretty soon, as they will be playing a SXSW showcase at the Beauty Bar as well as the Electra Beauty Salon day party.
