Jake’s Top 50 Albums of 2006
When I started compiling this list I thought I was going to struggle to get a top 25 list. I soon realized that it was going to be a much more difficult task to keep it under 50. It is amazing how much great music is out there that we just have to scratch the surface a little to find. Some of you may notice that Hinder is not on my list. This was a tough decision for me, but in the long run I decided that the world’s worst band might not belong on a top 50 albums list. I do apologize to all of you angst ridden teens who couldn’t have made it through your breakup without the moving lyrics of ‘Lips of an Angel.’
Logan has taken extended Holiday leave so his top album list should be available sometime toward the end of the week.
I present to you my official Top 50 Albums of 2006 List. Please feel free to provide feedback by commenting.

I agree that the Lindsey Buckingham CD is amazing…I might also add that we are close friends on myspace

A great selection of music, but why aren’t there any rap or hip hop songs added onto the list?

I’m pretty sure Jake considers rap and hip hop songs to be right up there with Hinder…
Also, I will not comment on your attack at Hinder. I know you put it in there for me. Perhaps I will hang up a Hinder calendar at work just to annoy you.
Despite all this, I agree with a lot of the albums you put on your list, although you forgot a few of my favorites (and no, it’s not Hinder – technically, Extreme Behavior came out in 2005…and don’t make fun of me for knowing that.)

I just want to know why there is no Justin Timberlake (Sweaty Back Rocks). He is the best artist out there, way above all this indie crap you listed.
