Fun Fun Fun Fest (Sunday)
Car Stereo (Wars)

Sunday was another day of fun fun fun. The Cave Singers were a pleasant surprise and a good way to start day two of the festival. Not enough people use the washboard anymore. Clap! Clap! put together a very entertaining set of dance inspired tunes, very Rapture-esque. I’m going to need to see more of these guys. Battles were crazy good. If you haven’t seen them live, you are really missing out. Ted Leo & The Pharmacists turned in a high energy performance that seemed to lift the spirits of worn out festival goers (myself included). It seems like Ted puts everything he has into each and every song. Diplo got everyone dancing with his impressive DJ set. Cat Power closed down the festival. We thought her voice sounded great. Apparently she didn’t because she kept apologizing throughout her entire performance about how bad she sounded. C’mon Chan, you sounded lovely.
Transmission Entertainment did a great job with Fun Fun Fun Fest. Everything ran smoothly and seemed to be well organized. You could not have asked for better weather either. It is so much more enjoyable to watch music in sub 100 degree heat. Another plus for us was the crowd. We never had a problem seeing the stage or maneuvering around the festival. All in all it was a great weekend.
I realize that some of the pictures we took are less than stellar, but when the sun goes down it makes it really hard to get a good shot without using a really nice professional camera. These will just have to do. More pics after the jump.

Lucas says,
It’s awesome to hear this fest was a success! I hope, like its namesake, it goes for the 3′s with a third year…
