Paste Magazines’ Top 20 R.E.M Songs:

REM

Paste Magazine has compiled a list of their favorite R.E.M songs for us to enjoy argue. Actually their list is pretty solid, aside from “Nightswimming” not being in the top spot.  I’ve always had a soft spot for this song; in fact it is one of my all time favorites.

Your favorite R.E.M. song aside, a list like this really puts into perspective how great they have been throughout their nearly 30 year career.

Head over to Paste to view the actual list and stream all the songs.

    Jeff says,

Not bad selections, though my two favorites, coincidentally, are “Drive” and “Driver 8.”

    blackdominoes says,

wow- no ‘disturbance at the heron house.’
    no ‘electrolite.’
    no ‘leaving new york.’
    no ‘strange currencies.’

those and ‘fall on me’ are my top five.

its funny, for two years i lived a block over from michael…i would play my telecaster late at night but i was always afraid to play the above songs—in case he was to walk around the block and hear me.
